Get on your bike and pedal to save lives.

On March 20th, 2016 the Bobbin Head Cycle Classic (known as the Bobbo) will raise funds for Lifeline (the suicide crisis support service) and a number of other charities.

Wendy Carver, CEO of Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury said “The Bobbo is one of our major sources of funds enabling us to carry out the work of saving lives. At our centre we answer over 100,000 calls per year from people in distress. Without the Bobbo, we would be stretched to carry on this work. But, in any case, the event is so much fun for all who ride and all who make the day what it is.”

Rated as one of the best organised cycle events in NSW, the premier cycling event on the North Shore, the Bobbo routes wander through the picturesque bushland of the Upper North Shore, through the scenic delights of the Bobbin Head Area, and, for the keenest riders, out to magnificent West Head.

Over the years, the Bobbo has earned a place on the cycling calendar of casual cyclists as well as the most extreme enthusiasts. Rides of various lengths provide an opportunity for families with children, groups of friends and teams of enthusiasts to have an enjoyable experience.

At the end of the ride, entertainment, food and beverages or simply lounging on the grass in Karuah Oval round out a fun experience.

Open to the enthusiasts who take on the 104 km and 80 km ride will be a King, Queen and Team of the Mountain 4 km timed up-hill section from the bridge at Bobbin Head to the NPWS toll gates on Bobbin Head Road. Cash prizes will be awarded to the best male, female and team times.

The shorter rides (27km and 57km) provide a fun challenge for the casual rider or for people who simply want a day out, riding with friends.
