As part of the Broadcast Cell group, Radio Dalisay also enjoys collaboration with broadcasters of other Filipino radio network and the members of the Filipino-Australian media. It welcomes and integrates into its program the participation of their colleagues from time to time.
At its maiden broadcast, the guests who participated include Mars Cavestany (a well-known director/actor/writer who adapted, produced and directed the Rizal Radio plays as part of the Rizaliana Sesquicentennial Radio Festival ), Neria Soliman (columnist/book author/ dancer/ choreographer) and Floro Valdez (former Director of the Ilocano Association of Australia).
Recently, it was joined by Violi Calvert who is one of the broadcasters of Radio Sandigan, co-member at FilipinoPressSydney group, freelance writer, Media and PR for the Australian Handball Federation and the Nenad Bach Music (Australiasia).
Radio Dalisay’s initial presentation included the Rizaliana Sesquicentennial Radio Festival and Washi/Sendong Typhoon Survivors’ Appeal as the main features.
The usual program content is as follows:
MUSIC – Featuring Filipino singers and musicians, original compositions of Filipino artists and those of Filipino-heritage, born or raised outside the Philippines.
INTERVIEWS – So far interviews conducted were with Dr. Mars Cavestany, Her Son Jose Rizal actors: Jemwell Danao and Rie Manaloto, the late RJ Rosales’ brother, Her Son Jose Rizal and Radio Rizal young actress Reanne Urqueza, Kevin Tan and Hubert Demonteverde.
INFORMATION AND COMMENTARY such as travel information, sports, nutrition and lifestyle
LANGUAGE AND CULTURE – Teach Pilipino to Filipino-Australian children born and raised here and the wider community which includes persons who married someone from the Philippines, people planning to visit to the Philippines and others who are interested in learning the language.
