Northside Radio History

Northside radio began broadcasting in May 1983 from Orchard Road, Chatswood, transmitting from the original frequency of FM91.5 to the North Shore, covering the municipalities of Willoughby, Lane Cove, North Sydney, Mosman and Ku-ring-gai.

In the late 80s the station moved to its current premises in Victoria St. Chatswood, and on 1 January 2001 the original FM91.5 frequency changed to FM99.3.

Broadcasting 24 hours per day with a mix of programmes and music best described as adult contemporary. Northside provides a wide range of news, views and information, and supports many local community groups and organisations.
