St Ives Food and Wine festival
The 4th St Ives Food and Wine Festival which will be held on Sunday 8 September at the St Ives Village Green.
This major community event has been organised by the Rotary Club of St Ives and supported by Ku-ring-gai Council and many local businesses. The Knox Scottish Pipe Band will play from 10.45 am and at 11 am Jennifer Anderson, Mayor of Ku-ring-gai and Kalma McLellan, District Governor of Rotary, will officially open the festival.
This is the club’s major annual event with all the funds raised donated to charitable organisations including Diabetes Alive, which funds insulin pumps for children from disadvantaged families with diabetes type 1 and Room to Read, which focuses on literacy in education by building and resourcing schools and libraries in 15 countries in Asia and Africa and publishing books in 22 local languages.

You will be able to enjoy a choice of 34 delicious food stalls offering a range of Spanish, Vietnamese, Japanese, Mexican, Hungarian, Afghan, Chinese, German and many other specialities. There will be 22 leading Australian wineries including Briar Ridge, Peppertree, Tullochs, Petersons and Tamburlaine from the Hunter and Torbreck and Irvine Wines from the Barossa. There will be a beer garden, two distilleries and a liqueur manufacturer as well as 30 life style boutiques will offer a wide range of items including jewellery, women’s and men’s clothing, active sportswear, timber products, greeting cards, candles and giftware.
Community organisations present will include Lifeline, Shelterbox, Rural Fire Service, Ku-ring-gai Girl Guides, Ku-ring-gai Neighbourhood Centre and St Ives Toastmasters. Participants will include a number of local health services with two pharmacies, a chiropractor, an audiologist, a dentist, a medical practice, a physiotherapist and Lady Davidson.
Activities for children will include an animal farm, a jumping castle, face painting, a Rotary photo stall and pony rides. There will be a raffle with the first prize a $ 1000 gift voucher and other prizes including cases of wine, dinner at Saveur Roseville, a round of golf and Pymble Golf Club and a complimentary membership of Kieser Pymble. There will be music by roving buskers.

ROTARY FREE FUN FOTO COMPETITION WITH PRIZES EACH HOUR
All you need to do is share a foto of your family/friends dressing up and having fun at the Rotary Fun Foto Booth on your social media to be in the draw and kids get a free tattoo.
Cancellation of the event is at Ku-ring-gai Council’s sole discretion and could occur on the morning of the event.
Should Ku-ring-gai Council cancel the event due to adverse weather conditions predicted for the day of the event, or any force majeure incident, stallholder application fees will be refunded, after deduction of a $100 booking administration fee.
