The Super Soul Revue Fundraiser
Or to enquire fill in the form below.
In a one-off show, a group of music artists are taking to the stage to raise much needed money for Northside Radio, the North Shores’ community radio station. In a benefit that promises to get the crowd feet dancing and hands in their pockets, the family friendly event will be held from 5-8pm on Sunday November 19 at Crows Nest’s music@StreetMarket.com.au.
The ‘Super Soul Revue’ afternoon will feature Sydney Rhythm and Blues stalwarts Soul Messengers as the house band and feature some of Sydney’s best female vocal talent in the shape of Liza Ohlback, Amanda Easton and Juliane Di Sisto.
The show has been put together by Simon Morel, the guitarist from Soul Messengers. He says “I’m really excited about the fundraiser. It gives us the opportunity to present four great artists performing at one of the North Shore’s premier music venues all in the aid of fundraising for Northside Radio. Both Northside Radio and music@StreetMarket.com.au are really great supporters of new music. They fearlessly present new and established artists to the North Shore audience and I thought it was about time we put together a fundraiser to give something back to the volunteer-backed station.
Northside Broadcasting Co-operative (2NSB) is a community radio station based in Chatswood, Sydney. It operates on the FM99.3 frequency and is referred to as the North Shore’s FM99.3 on-air and for business purposes. From January 2010 the station began restructuring its programs and music content to reflect the expressed wishes of the North Shore community. This was confirmed during a 2011 survey of listeners, supporters and subscribers, who asked for more music they couldn’t hear anywhere else, music that was not played on other radio stations and more local news, views and matters of local interest. In 2018 FM99.3 celebrated its 35th anniversary.
The Super Soul Revue Fundraiser will run from 5-8pm at Music@StreetMarket, 116 Willoughby Road, Crows Nest on Sunday, November 17. It is an all ages event. Entry is $30 or $25 for Northside Radio Members. For more information on the event visit www.moshtix.com.au/…..
