On Ron’s Golden Oldies this week…
This week featuring Brian Henderson and Bandstand…losing Brian this time last year and remembering Bandstand which finished up 50 years ago this year in 1972. The show is on air this Thursday 18th August August from 12 noon – 4pm on Northside Radio FM99.3
Australia’s leading teenage television program BANDSTAND commenced in Nov 1958, ceasing in June 1972. We lost host Brian Henderson in August 2021, after his long-time and memorable career. Ron will reflect on the success of Bandstand and play songs from the program’s leading artists from the 50s & 60s.
Ron will play many of her hits on the show this Thursday along with more 1950s & 60s JUKEBOX HITS, featuring the big names of the Billboard Hot 100 and our own early Top 40 charts.
